REALOGIS sells modern property in Willich off-market
Düsseldorf / Wilich, 10 May 2022 – Locations near cities and with good transport connections are in very high demand among private and institutional investors from Germany and abroad. This also applies to the town of Willich at the western edge of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, which is the site of one of Europe’s largest contiguous commercial districts, Münchheide. Realogis – Germany’s leading consultancy for industrial, logistics and commercial properties – has sold a developed plot of land measuring 13,500 m² here in an off-market transaction. Built in 2009, the property comprises around 5,040 m² of hall space with three ground-level gates and around 350 m² of office space.
The property, which is seven metres high, is fully let to the company Leister Messestände and the district of Viersen. Due to the size of the plot, the property offers potential for redensification with around 1,000 m² of space for new construction.
It is located at Karl-Arnold-Strasse 24, with direct access to the Münchheide slip road to the A44 motorway (around 1 km away).
The buyer is the US private equity investor HighBrook, which will incorporate the property in its new urban logistics platform. This company is a very active investor across all asset classes on the German, Dutch and Danish property market. The seller is a private investor. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
