REALOGIS secures space for expanding automotive wholesaler
Stuttgart, 30 March 2022 – In a deal advised and brokered by Realogis, Logistikpark Staiger, an expanding spare car parts wholesaler, signed a long-term lease for approximately 5,750 m² of warehouse space and just under 1,000 m² of office space. According to the leading consulting firm for industrial and logistics properties and business parks in Germany, with 70 experts, the unit is part of a new logistics building built by a private investor in Wernau in the Esslingen district.
“By setting up storage platforms at the new property in Wernau, we increased the warehouse space fivefold,” said Daniel Schier, Managing Director of Logistikpark Staiger. The company says that it generated revenue growth of 70% last year, nearly doubling its revenue. “The property meets our search criteria exactly in terms of its size, height and delivery area.”
“The new building, which comprises a total of three units and is conveniently located near to the B10 and B313 federal roads with access to the A8 motorway, will be ready for occupancy at the end of October of this year,” said Joel Adam, Managing Director of Realogis Immobilien Stuttgart GmbH.
Logistikpark Staiger will occupy half of the largest hall (4,400 m²) and about 1,350 m² of the second hall and will install its shelving systems in November 2022. The company plans to move in fully towards the middle of the first quarter of 2023.
Logistikpark Staiger currently has about 70 employees, including warehouse management graduates, office administrators and trained car mechanics and mechatronics engineers. The company, which distributes original parts and accessories to several automotive markets, plans to expand its team to up to 120 employees in the coming years. This also includes increasing its professional external sales team.
Logistikpark Staiger is an AVAG Holding SE company, which is one of the leading car dealer groups in Europe. With over 5,000 employees, AVAG recently put 110,000 vehicles on the roads and generated revenue of EUR 2.1 billion. It is headquartered in Augsburg, Germany.
