REALOGIS secures last-mile location for Picnic in Wiesbaden

Frankfurt / Wiesbaden, 21 September 2023 –Realogis, Germany’s leading consultancy for industrial, logistics and commercial properties, has advised the online supermarket Picnic on a new branch for last-mile delivery. Since mid-August, the company – which has been on the German market since 2018 – has been supplying initial residents of Wiesbaden and Mainz with their purchases.

The free-standing property comprises 2,700 m² of hall space and 300 m² of office space. The lease for the building, located right by the A671 and A66 motorways, was concluded in cooperation with Realogis. Its owner is Casaplan Seeliger GmbH.

“Picnic was looking for a property very close to Wiesbaden and Mainz and their suburbs. Thanks to its location, the large number of ramps and access to good electricity infrastructure for charging electric vehicles, the property is a perfect fit,” comments Denis Tanque, Senior Consultant at Realogis Immobilien Frankfurt GmbH.

The property is an important component of Picnic’s regional expansion and will be used to deliver to customers from the Mainz/Wiesbaden catchment area.

It is expected that thousands of households in Wiesbaden and Mainz will be supplied with fresh food every day from this new location.
