Munich/Penzberg, 30 January 2023 – For many years, full occupancy and a shortage of development sites have made it difficult to offer companies that wish to grow in the Greater Munich area sufficient space in large industrial and logistics properties. Winning BLW GmbH has now successfully secured one of these rare stand-alone properties at short notice near Lake Starnberg south of Munich.

In a deal advised and brokered exclusively by Realogis – Germany’s leading consultancy for industrial, logistics and commercial properties – the automotive production company signed a long-term lease for over 26,000 m² of hall space and 2,000 m² of office space. The existing rental space is located at Seeshaupter Strasse 70 in Penzberg and is owned by the AIC Hörmann Group.

“The challenge of this exclusive advisory mandate was to find a production site of this size within 50 km of Greater Munich that would be available for occupancy in a relatively short time,” reports Nicolas Werner, Head of Letting at Realogis Immobilien München GmbH.

The site comprises a main building, three smaller halls and an office/cafeteria building. Winning GmbH took occupancy in 2022 and intends to commence operations there in 2024.

The production site has very good links to the public transport network; the A95 highway (Penzberg/Iffeldorf exit) is around only 1 km away.
