REALOGIS increases letting success in Westerwaldkreis
A total of 60,000 m² of logistics space brokered in nine months
Frankfurt, 30 November 2021 – With a population of around 200,000 and proximity to the cities of Koblenz and Frankfurt am Main, the district of Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate is proving popular among retail and logistics companies in 2021. Having concluded two new leases, Realogis – the leading consulting firm for industrial and logistics properties and business parks in Germany, with 70 experts – has increased its letting volume in this region to a total of 60,000 m² of warehouse and logistics space in the past nine months.
In November 2021, Pfenning Logistics secured almost 25,000 m² in warehouse space for the storage and delivery of consumer goods with the conclusion of two medium-term leases in a deal advised and brokered by Realogis.
From December, the logistics company will move into a 14,800 m² property at Kreisstrasse 1 in Sessenbach that was formerly used to produce beer mugs. The owner is the German family office Dr. Christoph Pöppinghaus Grundbesitz Verwaltung GbR. The company has also concluded a medium-term lease for a 10,000 m² unit in Ransbach-Baumbach.
“The enquiry from Pfenning Logistics was for 25,000 m² of warehouse space in a region that is not home to many properties. We succeeded in meeting their needs with two properties that are separated by a drive of just ten minutes,” reports Julian Petri, Managing Director of Realogis Immobilien Frankfurt GmbH.
The two latest leases mean that all of the available larger warehouse and logistics spaces in the Westerwaldkreis region have been let. Realogis brokered 20,000 m² for Flaschenland in the spring of this year, followed by 15,000 m² for Elsen Logistik in the summer and now 25,000 m² for Pfenning Logistics.
