REALOGIS achieves full occupancy with two leases signed in Hanover
Picnic and Krug are the names of the two new tenants that EDMOND DE ROTHSCHILD REIM (Germany) GmbH will be welcoming to eastern Hanover next year. In a deal advised and brokered by Realogis – Germany’s leading consultancy for industrial, logistics and commercial properties – the two companies have signed one medium-term and one long-term lease for a combined total of 2,900 m² of hall and office space at Owiedenfeldstrasse 2, 30559 Hanover.
The lessor is an open-ended fund from Edmond de Rothschild called Euro Industrial Real Estate Fund, which invests in urban industrial and logistics properties. It is benefiting from structural trends such as e-commerce, urbanisation, last-minute fulfilment and last-mile delivery.
In order to optimise its deliveries to end customers according to the “milkman principle”, Edeka’s Dutch partner Picnic GmbH will open a last-mile hub next year, which the online supermarket will use in addition to its fulfilment centre in Sehnde. The warehouse and logistics complex, which is equipped with various loading bays, offers the online supermarket 1,560 m² of hall space, around 280 m² of office space and parking spaces for 45 cars.
“The property is in an excellent location on the A7 motorway with access to the A2 and A37. In addition, local markets such as Misburg, Gross-Buchholz and the city centre are within easy reach,” says Tristan Busch, a consultant at Realogis Immobilien Deutschland GmbH.
“These factors also won over KRUG Internationale Spedition und Handelsgesellschaft mbH, which will open a branch in Hanover at the beginning of next year. The warehouse and logistics complex is therefore fully let,” reports Fabian von Rohr, a consultant at REALOGIS Immobilien Deutschland GmbH.
Krug specialises in pharmaceutical and medical logistics, warehouse and waste management logistics, and tank and silo cleaning, and has chosen a unit with 1,035 m² of hall space, 30 m² of office space and parking spaces for four cars. The company is partner to a widespread distribution network in Germany and will use the location for deliveries to commercial and home care customers, including the storage and transshipment of health care products such as auxiliary rehabilitation products, medicinal products and pharmaceuticals.
