REALOGIS places company in low-energy, stand-alone property

Hamburg, 28 April 2022 – Like attracts like. At the Jacobsrade business park in the Hamburg metropolitan region, a company with a mind for sustainability has signed a long-term lease for a low-impact, stand-alone property. Brokered by Realogis – Germany’s leading consulting firm for industrial, logistics and commercial properties – Glomeditrans GmbH will be taking occupancy of 580 m² of warehouse and around 190 m² of office space in total at Jacobsrade 74 in Siek as at 1 September 2022. The district lies to the northeast of Hamburg and is right on the A1 autobahn, which makes Siek an ideal distribution location between Hamburg and the rest of northern Germany.

The stand-alone property is a timber warehouse with an office split across two levels with industrial charm and direct access to the warehouse complex. The property, which is an energy showpiece, is situated in the low-energy segment thanks to its own PV system, geothermal heating, large skylights and humidifier. It also has an outside area, with video surveillance, for five parking spaces and two charging stations for electric cars.

Glomeditrans GmbH is a distributor or medical equipment that plans and implements the necessary structural requirements for hospitals and medical practices. Its subsidiary LS DigiServ GmbH is a specialist in the acquisition and sale of medical technology, including its assembly, dismantling and transport. The company thus ensures that used medical equipment is reintroduced into circulation.


“In the German healthcare system, the operators or medical technology are losing millions of euro every year by not reusing their old systems,” says Taufik Gholam Sarwar, Managing Director of Glomeditrans GmbH. “We want to do something about this with our services. We are all the more delighted that our corporate philosophy, which is founded on sustainability, will also be reflected by our head office moving forward.”

“Low-impact commercial properties in this size segment are still something of a rarity on the property market,” says Guido Schröder, a consultant at Realogis Immobilien Hamburg GmbH. “However, we are assuming that the number of energy self-sufficient commercial buildings will rise in the Hamburg metropolitan region as well. The demand is growing all the time.”
