REALOGIS and BROCKHOFF secure tenant for 8,130 m² of logistics space in the new HafenCenter in Mülheim an der Ruhr

Düsseldorf / Mülheim, 29 August 2024 - In a joint deal, the real estate consultancies Realogis and Brockhoff have secured a tenant for the newly developed HafenCenter in Mülheim an der Ruhr. Realogis brought the tenant Friess Techno Profi GmbH, a tool manufacturer and specialist retail partner for the painting industry. Brockhoff acted as sole agent for the landlord, a private investor from the region.
Friess Techno Profi GmbH will move into a unit with approx. 6,320 m² of hall space, 900 m² of office space and 910 m² of mezzanine space at Weselerstraße 28-40 / Elbestraße 8 from the end of 2024 and will use it as its headquarters.
The Nespoli Group is a leading designer and manufacturer of painting tools, metal tools, spray paints and household goods (cleaning tools). The owner-managed company was founded in the 1940s after the Second World War and has developed from a small, local craftsman's business into an international group with locations throughout Europe and beyond. The globally active company based in Cantù (Italy) under the management of Luigi and Alessandro Nespoli employs around 1300 people.

The new building that has now been rented is a 9,100 m² extension for warehousing and logistics at the rear of the retail complex in Weseler Straße, which will be completed in 2021 and is home to renowned retail brands. The climate-friendly design meets the latest building standards and includes a fossil-free energy supply, which is realised using a PV system and an air-to-water heat pump, among other things. Due to the height of the new building of 10.25 UKB metres, Friess Techno can use the entire height for future racking, which leads to a significant increase in efficiency compared to the previous property.

Letting the property before completion also sends a clear signal to all portfolio holders that sustainable logistics space in the central Ruhr region is being let quickly and on a long-term basis."
The location of the property in the Mülheim harbour area is very convenient thanks to its trimodal connections. The Port of Duisburg (Logport) and the A3 and A40 motorway junctions can be reached quickly.
