10 years of REALOGIS Hamburg: Upswing for small spaces in anniversary year

  • Alongside large spaces, there is also a focus on local companies with sustainability considerations in the smaller-scale segment
  • 14 leases concluded in four months
Hamburg, 6 May 2022 – The property consulting company Realogis, launched in 2005 as a pioneer in the field of industrial and logistics space and business parks and the market leader in Germany since 2020 with 70 experts, is celebrating the ten-year anniversary of its branch in Hamburg this year. Founded in 2012, Realogis Immobilien Hamburg GmbH has also focused on transparency and market proximity right from the start when it comes to letting, sales, finding and selling plots of land, and investing in and supporting project developments. This has paid off – not only with regard to letting medium-sized spaces from 5,000 m² and large spaces over 10,000 m², but also in the segment of small units up to 1,500 m². In this size segment along, 14 leases were broken by Guido Schröder, a consultant at Realogis Immobilien Hamburg GmbH, in the first four months of the company’s anniversary year, thus achieving total take-up of almost 10,000 m².

“With our consistent focus on smaller warehouse, logistics and business park space, too, we ensure that owner-operated and medium-sized companies also get the necessary space for their business activities in the region,” explains Jörg Lojewski. He has been the Managing Director of Realogis Immobilien Hamburg GmbH since 2017 and has been working successfully for the property consulting company since back in 2012. According to Jörg Lojewski, one deal per month is typical in this size segment and the company record is 22 deals in one full year.

“Eleven of the current 14 deals took place in existing properties, one in a new build and two in revitalised properties. The 14 different users are existing companies from the Hamburg metropolitan region, mostly with sustainability considerations and with different implementation concepts,” says Guido Schröder, a consultant at Realogis Immobilien Hamburg GmbH.

For example, these include the sustainably designed new build at Jochim-Klindt-Strasse 7a in Ahrensburg, for which ISTA Express, a property management company that installs and maintains measuring equipment such as heat cost allocators, water meters and smoke alarms, has opted. It plans to move into the 400 m² unit in the third quarter of 2022. The low-energy, free-standing building was built to the same standard as the new property in Siek (Jacobsrade 74), also located in the east of the metropolitan region, which has been let to Glomeditrans (purchase and sale of used medical devices).

In addition, Realogis has brokered an undeveloped area of 3,000 m² at Kielredder 13 in Barsbüttel, right by the motorway, to Schubert-Nord GmbH. The construction company is building a planning office, workers’ accommodation and an outdoor storage area for large construction cable reels for its own use in a completely modular and container-based design.

Realogis has also successfully advised the state of Schleswig-Holstein on renting over 1,300 m² of storage space at Schnackenburgallee 158 in western Hamburg-Stellingen.
